I am the mother of a daughter who,
at 16, desperately wanted a tattoo. Together, we scoped out popular parlors
like Jade Dragon and Tattoo Factory, perusing the drawings and observing
the clients. We found some alternative and independent practitioners as well.
All with fascinating interiors and artists. My daughter, the ultimate iconoclast,
is in college now and has yet to be tattooed. Her friend was tattooed by
Juan, an exceptional draftsman.
